Is the free plan really free?

Yes — 3 documents a month, every month, with unlimited customers, items and expense tracking. No card details, no trial countdown. If you send more, Pro is £9/month.

Does it handle VAT?

Fully. Set standard (20%), reduced (5%) or zero rate per line; we show VAT totals in sterling and your VAT registration number exactly as HMRC’s invoice rules require. Not VAT registered? Switch it off and invoices stay clean.

How does the self assessment export work?

Pick a tax year (6 April – 5 April) and download your income on a cash basis (payments received — HMRC’s default) or traditional accounting, plus expenses grouped by SA103 box. The summary shows the exact figures to type into your return.

How do customers pay me?

Your payment instructions — bank transfer details, payment terms — appear on every invoice and share page. Customers can view the invoice online or as a PDF, and you record the payment when it arrives.

Is my data safe?

Traffic is encrypted, passwords are hashed with a server-side secret, and we run no advertising trackers at all. You can export all your data as CSV, or delete your account — and everything with it — from settings.

Can I cancel Pro any time?

Yes, in two clicks from billing settings. You keep Pro until the end of the period you’ve paid for, then drop back to the free plan — your data stays exactly where it is.
